Fill Dirt is a screened material commonly used for filling low areas, raising grade elevations, and providing a stable base beneath lawns, landscaping, and construction projects. Screened once for consistency, it contains some rock and aggregate, making it an economical choice for general fill applications where compaction and stability are important. Fill dirt is often used for backfilling, leveling properties, and preparing sites before topsoil or other finish materials are applied. Because it contains little organic material, it is not intended for growing grass, gardens, or plants. For projects requiring a growing medium, a topsoil product is recommended.
